Additional LLS Biosecurity Act 2015 Regulatory Training Bridging Courses

As a a result of the high level of interest regarding the Biosecurity Act 2015 Regulatory Training Bridging Courses for LLS officers, ACFEC will be delivering additional courses throughout 2018.

ACFEC facilitated a pilot program for LLS officers in late 2017, which received positive feedback.

The course has been designed to include numerous practical exercises that will assist officers to understand the Biosecurity Act and develop officers' skills as an authorised officer.

Learners who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for two nationally recognised units of competency, which form part of the PSP40416 Certificate IV in Government Investigations.

The new Act will replace 14 outdated Acts with a modern, cohesive framework for protecting the State from the threat of animal and plant pest, diseases, weeds and contaminants
